Unit's Mission

At the Independent Actors Unit, we work on an important development area for the Public Employment Service – creating a digital meeting place where job seekers, employers, and independent actors can meet in an efficient, transparent, and accessible way. Our mission is to develop the digital infrastructure that enables more accurate matches, increased choice, and faster paths to employment.

We consist of several sections within the IT department that together drive the digital transformation of the Public Employment Service. The PEGA platform is a central part of this journey – a strategic technology choice that allows us to replace older systems with modern, user-centered, and scalable digital services.

We work in cross-functional teams within our development trains, in a product-driven and agile environment inspired by the SAFe framework. Job Description

As a tester with us, you will be an important part of our testing team and have a driving role in shaping and executing the testing work in our deliveries. You will be involved from planning to execution and contribute to ensuring that the team has clear, effective, and sustainable testing methods.

An important part of the role is to work with test automation. You will help further develop our automated tests and ensure they are used in a way that supports both quality work and our release flows. We work with Playwright for automated testing, and you will both contribute your expertise and help develop our working methods around the tool.

You will also create test cases, generate test data, manage test accounts and test environments, and assist colleagues in accessing the right environments and tools. When multiple teams need to collaborate, you are the one who keeps the testing together in a natural and unpretentious way.

With a focus on the user and quality, you contribute to stable solutions and well-functioning deliveries, helping the team to continuously take small steps forward in testing and quality assurance.

The position is a permanent full-time employment that may begin with a six-month probationary period. The work location is Solna.

Basic Requirements for the Position

• At least five years of current experience in testing and test automation within IT systems
• Current experience in planning, driving, and coordinating testing work in a team or product environment
• Current experience in testing at multiple levels (e.g., system, integration, and end-to-end testing), including creating test cases and validating flows in distributed systems
• Current experience with modern test automation tools and developing and maintaining automated tests
• Fluent Swedish in speech and writing

Other Qualifications for the Position

• Current experience in testing applications built on the Pega platform
• Current experience in testing case-based applications
• Current experience working in the public sector
• Current experience with Playwright or similar in testing or development flows
